Predicting V02 max

1.   Time to Maximal Exhaustion
     a.   Take subject to maximal exhaustion.
     b. Determine the total number of minutes completed for the test.
     c.   Calculate V02 max using Table 19.4 (Bruce Protocol) or the nomogram in Figure 19.2 or
          using Equations 19.5 and 19.6.

2.   Submaximal Multi-Stage Model
     a.  Determine heart rate and workload data from two submaximal stages.
     b. Subject must reach steady state heart rates between 115 and 150 bpm.
     c.  Determine the slope for the two submaximal workloads.

     d. Calculate V02 max.
