A Scholarship and Academic Support Program funded by the National Science Foundation and administered by Stony Brook University’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
Qualifications CSEMS is funded to support undergraduate students at Stony Brook University, Nassau County Community College, and Suffolk County Community College who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States, and who are majoring in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or technology. Applicants for CSEMS must meet the U.S. Department of Education definition of financial need i.e. the estimated cost of attendance minus the estimated family contribution. Applicants for CSEMS must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form on file with their campus’ office of financial aid. All application information is held in strictest confidence. LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION: REQUIRED OF ALL APPLICANTS A letter of recommendation from a science or math instructor or an advisor is required. Please submit your letter of recommendation in a sealed envelope that has been signed across the flap by your recommender. Your letter of recommendation should be submitted with your application.
