    Enclosed is a copy of the Marubeni CSR Report 2009. The aim of this report is to introduce the
   Marubeni Group’s CSR activities to a range of stakeholders for everyone to understand.


    Specifically, we paid particular attention to the following points:


   (1) We reconfirmed the scope of the report, and we made every effort on reporting on the
      activities of the entire group.
   (2) Assuming a wide range of readers, including Marubeni Group clients, shareholders,
      investors, and employees, as well as citizens, students and CSR/environmental
      experts, we reviewed the disclosed items, and increased the number of items.
   (3) With a focus on CSR in our businesses, in the special features and main body of the
      report, we have presented numerous CSR-related business examples and activities
      from our business divisions.
   (4) We disclosed as much information as possible based on personnel-related figures and
      results, something we had not presented previously.


   The information contained in this report has also been publicly released on the Marubeni website.
