Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff & students The Advisory System of the college is constituted to redress the grievances of the students. STANDARD 400 M Track 2 1 3 1 1 3 1 1 1 27 (h) Extra-Curricular Activities: In the College, there are extra Curricular activities like NSS, Fine Arts, LDS etc. One unit of NSS is functioning in the College with about 100 volunteers. Every year, in addition to social upliftment activities undertook up the NSS Unit in the nearby villages, a 10-day camp is conducted in the adapted village. The College has several associations formed like Fine Arts Club, Science Club, Literary and Debating Society and the associations belonging to various departments such as SPACE (for students of ECE), EASE (for students of EEE), MASS (for students of Mechanical Engineering), BIOS (for students of IT Branch), SCAN (for students of CSE) and SCALE (for students of Civil Engineering). IEEE, ISTE Chapter, ISTE Students Chapter, CSI Chapter and ISTD students Cell are also actively functioning in our College. In 2000, the College won the ISTE Best Chapter Award at Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry level. An Entrepreneurship Development Cell is also functioning to promote Entrepreneurial skills. (i) Soft skill Development Facilities: Personality Development Programmes and Communicative English classes are arranged to empower the students to face interviews and to develop their communication skills and interpersonal skills. Every semester, 3 periodical tests are conducted in centralized settings. After valuation the marks are handed over to the respective Advisors and the progress report of the students are sent to their parents within 10 days from the last test. (o) Teaching Learning Process: The College consists of ample, learned faculty to carry out the teaching process. Audio Visual Teaching aids such as OHP and LCD Projectors are utilized for teaching. (p) Curricula and Syllabi for each of the programmes as approved by the University The Curricula and Syllabi specified by Anna University is followed without variation. 29 (q) Academic Calendar of the University: The Academic Calendar released by the University is followed. (r) Academic Time Table: The Time Table comprises of 8 hours per day with the working time fixed from 9:00 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Every month the first Saturdays and the third Saturdays are also working days.
