Discount Software The Software Cellar offers discounted software to all CSU students with a valid ID. The Software Cellar is located in the Lory Student Center next to First National Bank in the North Atrium. Current price lists, sales, and other information can be found on their website at http://www.softcell.colostate.edu/ or by calling them at (970) 491-7625. Run PC {Fort Collins: (970) 493-5565} is an authorized academic dealer. This means that they offer discounts on software similar to the Software Cellar. You need a valid ID to qualify for discounts. If you buy a Run PC computer at their location, they provide a 3-year warranty on parts, a lifetime warranty on hardware labor, and a 40% discount on software labor. They also provide 2 hours of onsite training to help you get started. Computer Training Academic Computing and Networking Services (ACNS) offers free seminars open to all students, faculty, and staff. The seminars take place in the Weber Building, and for further information, visit http://www.ctss.colostate.edu/training_home.asp. The Education and Life Training Center (ELTC) offers basic to advanced computing and keyboarding courses as part of their Employment Skills Programs. Classes are open to the general public, and charges are based on a sliding scale for low-income and disabled persons. http://www.fortnet.org/ELTC/mission.htm Computertim Technologies offers free online computer training, tips, support, articles, and a free online newsletter with instructions on how to use various MS Windows and MS Office applications. The site is set up like the help menus on MS Windows and Office applications with step-by-step instructions on how to perform various tasks. The website is www.computertim.com. The Fort Collins Public Library offers free computer courses at both the Main Library and the Harmony Library. Registration is required for the classes. Call 221-6742 to register. The Poudre School District’s Community Learning Centers offer adult education classes on various computing topics.
