Boston Acoustics Car Audio Warranty Process and Request 
 
 
As of April 1, 2012, Boston Acoustics Car Audio will be utilizing United Radio to handle 
all warranty requests on Speakers, Subwoofers and Amplifiers.   
 
This new procedure means that all Boston Acoustics Car Audio products will be a Return 
and Repair/Replacement of the defective part(s).  The current Field Destroy program on 
Speakers and Subwoofers will end on March 31, 2012.  On April 1, 2012 in order to 
obtain warranty service you must fill out the attached BUSINESS CUSTOMER REPAIR 
FORM and send the defective part(s) (Speaker/Subwoofer/ Amplifier) to United 
Radio.  Once the parts are received by United Radio, the defective parts will be repaired 
or replaced and shipped back to you.  When sending in defective parts for warranty 
service, you must include a customer proof of purchase to obtain the 1 year warranty 
service and proof of install to obtain the 2 year warranty service.    
 
Attached you will find warranty repair forms, shipping instructions and a shipping label 
that must accompany your package to United Radio.  Alternatively, End‐
Users/Customers may obtain warranty service directly by filling out the END USE 
CUSTOMER REPAIR FORM.  Dealers must fill out the BUSINESS CUSTOMER REPAIR 
FORM.

A bench fee of $40, plus tax where applicable, will be charged on all units received for out of warranty repair. In the event that you
choose not to have the unit repaired this fee will cover time spent for unit diagnosis and any parts and chemicals used to obtain the
   diagnosis. The bench fee will be credited toward the total cost of the repaired unit. If you do not have an open account we will

                                   SHIPPING A UNIT IN FOR SERVICE

Use a Corrugated Box
For best results, use a new box large enough to allow room for adequate cushioning material on all sides of
the contents. If the box has already been used, ensure that it is not crushed, torn or deformed and remove old
labels or other shipment markings from the box.




Provide Internal Protection
To properly cushion the contents of your package, wrap each item separately. If shipping multiple units in
one box, each item needs to be protected from each other and separated from the corners and sides of the box
to prevent damage. All six sides should have at least 4 inches of packing material between the unit and the
side of the box. Various materials can be used for cushioning and protection, including: bubble wrap, foam
"peanuts", and foam in place packaging. Newspaper and Air Filled "Pillows" do not cushion or protect well.
We recommend wrapping your unit in bubble wrap and centering in the box filled with foam peanuts.




Close It Securely
Proper closure is just as important as adequate cushioning. For best results, use either pressure-sensitive
plastic tape or water-activated paper tape at least 2" wide.

Use Proper Labeling
For fast and efficient delivery, print the shipping label from our website and attach it to the box.

Include
Include repair form from our website or your Name, Address, Daytime Phone Number, Email Address, a
detailed description of the problem and a copy of the bill of sale or extended warranty contract if the unit is
covered under warranty.
