Bad Habits!

I ’ve been unhappy lately about some things and
I’m not too proud to tell you all about it. I’ve
been unhappy about my weight, and there’s a lot
to be unhappy about.
I never used to care very much about food – I mean I
liked it. There were things I liked better (cookies) than other
things (liver), but it wasn’t a problem for me. Not until we
had a couple of rough years, illnesses and deaths and job
changes, that kind of stressful thing, and then I found out
something amazing about food. I found out that if you eat a
lot of it, enough that you feel very full, maybe even stuffed,
you end up very sleepy and sluggish and then you fall
asleep and don’t worry about anything at all for a while.
I learned, quite by accident, that you could anesthesize
yourself with food. Easy, no moral
