TITLE:                  UK Sales & Operations Manager

Reports to:             Global Sales Manager (based in Australia – head office)

Direct Reports:         4-6 team members including sales consultants & an area sales manager


Job Outline             Responsible for the overall leadership & performance of the Peregrine UK office.
                        The UK Sales & Operations Manager needs to drive sales performance of
                        Peregrine and Gecko’s tours through both direct and industry sales channels and
                        achieve targeted sales growth and increased market share.
                        They are responsible for the efficient running of the UK office.

Qualifications /         .
                        Essential:
Experience              Minimally 5 years experience managing a sales team
                        Experience with both direct and indirect travel sales channels
                        Previous success in sales growth and exceeding targets

                        Preferred:
                        Travelled to ‘Peregrine destinations’
                        Travel agency marketing experience

Working Relationships   UK sales team
                        UK Industry partners (agency chains)
                        Head of Sales (Australian based)
                        Senior management team (Australian based)
                        Marketing, Finance, Operations & IT (Australian based)
                        Exodus IT team




Key Responsibilities    Sales
                                 Negotiating and managing preferred agency agreements
                                 Responsible for driving all sales from UK market – both direct & agency
                                  sales
                                 Building brand awareness with agency chains and direct clients
                                 Set KPIs for UK office in line with company sales and forecasts
                                 Analyse KPIS , and have full understanding of enquiry levels and
                                  conversion rates
                                 Seek out and maximise any opportunities for marketing and brand
                                  exposure
                                 Liaise directly with publications re advertising and marketing spend
                                 Liaise direct with agency chains for agent marketing
                                 Liaise with PR company to provide info /feedback
                                 Organise and manage our attendance at expos
                                 Manage relationships with Tourism bodies
                                 Focus on & achieve growth of the UK database
                                 Monitor outgoing written communication to ensure standards of
                                  branding & professionalism.

                           Recruitment , training and managing sales incentives
                           Staff development, coaching and performance management
                           Manage staff rosters and annual leave
                           Oversee the daily systems and processes to ensure an efficiently run
                              office – general day to day office management
                           Build & maintain strong relationships with key areas of the business
                              (e.g. Marketing, IT, Operations and Finance)
                           Adherence to company guidelines, vision and mission statement
                           Manage the UK budget
                           Reconciliation of bank accounts
                           Payment of invoices
