Brighten Bulletin

Brighten Bulletin Dear Parents, I hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend. The month of August has quickly passed, and we are excited about sharing some special classroom projects/activities with each of you at our CCC Night on September 17th. The theme of the evening is “We are COMMITED to Academic Excellence.” Each classroom/grade level will be sharing specific information about their curriculum, and you will also have an opportunity to see some of the work we have collected for your child’s portfolio. We have also reserved the half day on September 25th for parent conferences and ILPs (Individualized Learning Plans). Your child’s teacher will be communicating their conference schedule within a few weeks. Each classroom has adopted a special area on our campus to beautify and maintain. This is our way of remembering our COMMITMENT to our school COMMUNITY. Please feel free to help your child’s classroom maintain this area. It will be the perfect place to visit when you have a few extra minutes before the car rider line begins! Each area will be marked with a plaque so you can easily identify the designated space. We will also begin our Campus Cuisine service on September 14th. This service will provide a hot lunch (via an online prepaid service) to your child. The following schedule will be observed: MondayJohnny’s Pizza, Tuesday- Chic-Fil-A, Wednesday- Moes, Thursday- Johnny’s Pizza, and Friday—Panda Express. More information is available on our website or contact kchaves@brightenacademy.com. We will also highlight our COMMUNITY businesses in special “Support Those Who Support Brighten” business directory. If you would like to advertise in our directory and/or our website, please contact Lisa McDonald at lmcdonald@brightenacademy.com. Thanks for supporting our school! Many of you have already earned more than half of your volunteer hours (next log due in Oct.)! We appreciate your COMMITMENT and we enjoy spending time each day with your child.
