Computer Report for Sion Koliwada School The computer programme for the M.H. children is specially devised keeping in mind the special needs of such children. The programme is designed on the observation and experience working with children who are mild to moderately retarded, Autistic and children with learning problems and learning impairment. All the children have been introduced academics. In language skills – Alphabets, sight reading, names of fruits, vegetables, essay writing on myself, my family etc, shapes and colours. In numerical skills - Numbers 1-100, number names 1-10 and days of the week In computer fundamentals - starting a computer, shutting down the computer, to use paints brush and Ms-word - to open a new file, to save a file. They enjoy doing spray painting, colouring, erasing, scribbling with physical help. All the children are improving significantly session by session and are taking lot of interest in learning computers. Those who were little hyperactive and restless are now able to sit nicely and pay attention during the session. They co-operate very well and give good responses. Most of the children have good mouse control and quite good in keyboard skills. Computer education will help them improve their spelling difficulties and vocabulary, develop their auditory and visual perception skills, increase their attention and concentration span
