Reason number four of why I’m not voting for Obama:
Un-American Behavior
So does anyone remember how Obama refused to wear the
American flag pin? I do. Here’s what he said in response to
someone asking him about not wearing it.
"You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a pin,"
Obama said. "Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're
talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think
true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of
importance to our national security, I decided I won't wear that
pin on my chest.
"Instead," he said, "I'm going to try to tell the American people
what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that
will be a testimony to my patriotism."
So I guess if you wear a flag pin, you’re not a true patriot. Well,
I understand what he was saying, but later we see him standing
there with his hands down to his side as the National Anthem
was played. Everyone else on that platform had their hand on
their heart, showing their respect and devotion to this country
and the principles for which is stands. What kind of example is
it for a president of the United States of America to not show
this respect and devotion?
Some will say it’s no big deal. These are the same people that
intentionally disregard every other blatantly un-American thing
about Mr. Obama.
Like his great fondness for communists and socialist and their
ideals which he firmly embraces. Like his desire to “spread the
wealth around” or as it’s commonly called, the redistribution of
wealth. Like his healthcare law that obligates American citizens
to buy healthcare insurance whether they can afford it or not,
or whether they want it or not.
What about his failure not to secure the borders of the USA?
Not only has he failed to do this, he has stood against Arizona’s
right to enforce immigration laws. On top of that, without
seeking the approval of Congress, or going through proper
constitutionally provided procedures, he has given a free pass
to millions of illegal aliens.
It is patently un-American to ignore and by pass the laws of the
land; a common occurrence in the Obama administration in the
past few years. Inappropriate uses of executive privilege and
recess appointments that circumvent the intent of the
constitution have become the norm.
And remember the big GM bailout and how the Democrats
sang its praises at their convention? GM is once again flirting
with bankruptcy despite massive government purchases
propping up its sales figures. GM stock is rock-bottom. Losses
continue to be revised in the wrong direction. According to The
Detroit News, "The Treasury Department says in a new report
the government expects to lose more than $25 billion on the
$85 billion auto bailout. That's 15 percent higher than its
previous forecast." In other words, the administration is lying
Remember how they berated Romney for sending American
jobs overseas, while Obama was saving thousands and
thousands of American jobs by saving GM. The fact is the
biggest winners from the bailout were the workers in Europe
and China.
GM has increased its manufacturing capacity in China by an
estimated 55 percent after the bailout, according to industry
watchers. In Europe, the UAW's appointee to the Government
Motors Board of Directors, Steve Girsky, recklessly pushed the
feds to hold onto GM's failing German-based Opel AG. The
Great American Auto Bailout has been subsidizing this
hemorrhaging enterprise while Obama failed to deliver on his
2008 campaign promise to salvage plants like the one in GOP
vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan's hometown of Janesville,
Wis. According to Forbes magazine, "GM Europe, comprised
mostly of Opel and its sister brand, Vauxhall, lost $617 million
in the first half of 2012, on top of a $747 million loss in 2011
and a $1.8 billion loss in 2010. In all, GM has lost almost $17
billion in Europe since 1999." Government Motors is now
planning to invest $1 billion over the next five years -- not in
America, but in Russia. That's on top of $7 billion total in China,
close to $1 billion in Mexico, and $600 million for a shirt
sponsorship deal with Manchester United, the British soccer
So the hypocrisy continues as Obama bolsters the economies of
foreign countries while taking tax dollars and throwing into the
pit known as General Motors. Saving the unions while some
20,000 nonunion Delphi auto parts workers. The forgotten
victims saw their pensions erode by up to 70 percent; their
health benefits disappeared.
This is just a small fraction of the un-American behavior we’ve
seen from this president and his administration. It’s time to get
rid of him and give the job to someone else.
