Focus (brief)

For students who are children or grandchildren of dues-paying Elks
Students are selected based on academic achievement and leadership in extracurricular and civic
activities

Scholarship will focus on the financial need of the student in addition to their academic merit
Entries should be from female juniors or seniors with at a least a 2.5 GPA who are interested in
pursuing a career in science, math, engineering, or technology
Scholarship will focus on the merit of the applicant, but a parent or guardian of the applicant must
be a member of SVEC
For students planning to attend a 4 year college or university in Virginia and have an interest in
golf
For students planning to attend a 4 year college or university and have an interest in fields of
study important to the automotive and related industries
This scholarship is designed to recognize students, who despite obstacles or special challenges,
have nonetheless achieved high standards of performance
This scholarship is meant to provide financial assistance to students who have achieved
academically, but who are financially unable to attend college

Given to a graduating senior with a zip code of 24441

One student from FDHS will be selected based on a budgeting exercise and essay
Intended for a female, graduating senior who will attend a Virginia college or university and is
interested in majoring in a field of social studies (i.e. history, government, or economics)

Deserving student will be actively involved in both the local community and school

For graduating seniors who are members of the Virginia Credit Union

For students whose parents are consumer-members of the Central Virginia Electric Cooperative

For a graduating senior who is a child or grandchild of a transportation services employee

For a graduating senior who is a child or grandchild of a transportation services employee
This scholarship is meant to aid a deserving, graduating senior who has been accepted into a full-
time, accredited college program focusing on environmental or conservation studies
Three high school seniors from Virginia interested in pursuing a major in journalism will be
selected
The Pleasant View - Spring Hill Ruritans will give consideration to students with need and how the
students have met and mastered challenges in high school
This scholarship is intended for students who have excelled during their high school careers and
are in need of financial assistance
This scholarship focuses on seniors that are interested in a medical career and will be attending a
Virginia college with accredited courses in nursing or a related medical field

The purpose of this scholarship is to support Hispanic students who would like to pursue post-
secondary educational opportunities at Blue Ridge Community College

The purpose of this scholarship is to support Hispanic students who would like to pursue post-
secondary educational opportunities at James Madison University


Multiple financial aid opportunities focusing on many facets

For students interested in a co-op program at one of the following institutions: Drexel, Johnson &
Wales, Kettering, RIT, Univ. of Cincinnati, Toledo, Wentworth Institute
