Predicting Some Sentences

   You are going to read an article

   Guess what the article is about.
   Write one or two sentences in
    your exercise book.
   You have 3 minutes to do that.
Sharing 1

   Share your prediction with your
    partner or in a small group.
   Would some of you like to share
    your prediction with the class?
Predicting Some Words

   Write some words / phrases that
    you think may appear in the text.
   Skip 2 lines. Then, write them
    under your predicted sentences
    in your exercise book.
   Read your words and phrases to
    your partner.
   Tell your partner whether you
    like his / her prediction.
Sharing 2

   Tell your partner what you have
    guessed.
   Tell your partner whether you
    like his / her guess.
   You may say:
      I like your story. It is good.
     I think you can add some more
      ideas.
Reading

   Read the text silently.
   Try to understand it.
   Guess the meaning of the new
    words.
   Note the key points.
   Put away the text.
   Skip 2 lines. Then, write out
    what you can remember in your
    exercise book.
Retelling

   Read your retelling to your
    partner.
   Have you left anything out?
   Can you add some more points?
   Who wants to share your ideas
    with the
    class?
