From: Lisa Goldstein, Manager - eLearning

Welcome to the e-Learning Matrix - a summary of the courses
contained on LKQU.

This matrix will provide you with a variety of information on each
course including courses required by employee job titles, types and
timing, and frequency of required training for required courses to meet
federal and state or OSHA training requirements. The matrix will also let
you know the available languages, the time required to take each course,
and the minimum passing post test score in order for the learner to be
considered "complete".

These courses must be individually taken and cannot be
accomplished in a group setting since they require individual testing and
record of completion to be recorded as completed. Group attendance will
not be counted as individual completion.

How to sort data in this Matrix: You can sort columns using the Sort
feature, or you can view only the criteria you are looking for by using the
AutoFilter arrows on each row header. Simply click on the boxed arrow at
the top of each column, select the header's category you want to see by
clicking on it. The information in the column will be limited by the
category(s) you select. To return to viewing all information, you must
select "(Select All)" from the AutoFilter list you last utilized.

If you want to learn more about the Sort or AutoFilter feature, take
the time to review the Microsoft Excel e-learning course on the topic of
Charts and Databases. Use the Course Topics menu from within the
course and look for the topics called "Sorting Records" and "Using
AutoFilter".

                                               Sincerely,

                                               Lisa A. Goldstein

Microsoft Excel 2010 is a financial tool for performing
calculations and other tasks automatically. It lets you accomplish
a variety of business or personal tasks in a fraction of the time it
would take using pen and paper. You can use Excel to track and
analyze sales, create budgets, and organize finances. You can
manage inventory, set up investment reports or create loan
amortizations.

This is the first course in the series, introducing you to the Excel
interface, the Ribbon, and toolbars. You will also learn how to
create workbooks, move around in them, save them, and
recover automatically saved versions of them.

Some of the most basic tasks you perform in Excel involve
selecting cells and ranges of cells, entering data, copying and
moving things, and finding and replacing data. You can learn to
select cells more efficiently by clicking and dragging and using
the Alt and Shift keys to expand your selections. You can also
copy items more efficiently using the Clipboard pane, and you
can use AutoFill and AutoCorrect to enter data easily and
accurately.
Once you enter data in a worksheet, you'll want to add formulas
to perform calculations. Because Microsoft Excel 2010
automatically recalculates formulas, worksheets remain accurate
and up-to-date no matter how often you change the data.

Excel also provides built-in functions you can add to worksheet
calculations. Functions such as AVERAGE and SUM let you
perform quick formula calculations.

In this course, you'll learn how to create and use both formulas
and functions.
At times, you'll need to reorganize an Excel workbook by adding
additional worksheets, changing their order in the workbook, or
even deleting an unused or outdated worksheet. You can
rename worksheets to better show the theme of a workbook.

On any worksheet, you can insert and delete cells, rows, and
columns. You can adjust column width and row height so that
you can structure the worksheet exactly the way you want. You
can freeze column and row headings to ease viewing a long list
of data. It's easy to make changes. because Microsoft Excel
2010 updates cell references in formulas whenever you modify a
worksheet, and automatically recalculates formulas to ensure
that the results are always up-to-date.
                                                                                        LKQU eLearning Course Listing

Without formatting, an Excel 2010 worksheet can look like a sea
of meaningless data. To highlight important information, you can
change the appearance of selected numbers and text by adding
dollar signs, commas, and other numerical formats, or by
applying attributes, such as boldface, italics, and underline. You
can change the default font and font size, and adjust the
alignment of data in cells. You can add colors to cells or fonts,
and add patterns to cells. You can add borders around columns
of data to visually group them, or even add clip art, a company
logo, or pictures.
You can make a variety of modifications to improve the printing
of any workbook you create with Microsoft Excel 2010. You can
add page breaks, change the orientation of the page, adjust
margins, and preview the result before printing. You can add
headers and footers, show or hide gridlines, column letters, and
row numbers, and define the area to be printed. If you need to
prepare a read-only distribution copy, Excel lets you save a
workbook as an XPS or PDF file.
Although well-illustrated worksheets can't make up for a lack of
content, vibrant and visually interesting worksheets can capture
peoples' attention. You can easily enhance a worksheet by
adding a picture -- one of your own or one of the hundreds that
come with Microsoft Excel 2010. You can also include program
screen shots, design WordArt text, and build SmartArt shapes
that will help people interpret worksheet data.
