The Lee County School Board met on the above date with the following members
present:

                     District 1                   Hal Swann
                     District 2                   Ronnie Bell
                     District 3                   Mike Mitchell
                     District 5                   Sherry Mask

Absent:
                     District 4                   Mary Edwards

The regular meeting convened on June 12, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. The meeting was called to
order by board president Sherry Mask with Jimmy Weeks giving the invocation. The
pledge of allegiance was recited by all.

Motion by Ronnie Bell, seconded by Hal Swann to adopt the agenda with additions as
listed:

V1 – Dental Insurance presentation

Voting for the motion: Ronnie Bell; Sherry Mask; Mike Mitchell; and Hal Swann.

Motion by Mike Mitchell, seconded by Ronnie Bell to approve the minutes of the may
22, 2012 meeting and the May 31, 2012 special called meeting. Voting for the motion:
Ronnie Bell; Sherry Mask; Mike Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the motion:
None.

Bryan Warren with Custom Insurance Concepts gave a presentation to the board on
dental and vision insurance that his company could provide for the district.

The dockets of claims were presented for payment (check #10576 thru #105864 in the
amount of $265787.54 and #105688 thru #105715 in the amount of $19759.98). Motion
by Hal Swann, seconded by Mike Mitchell to pay the bills. Voting for the motion:
Ronnie Bell; Sherry Mask; Mike Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the motion:
None.
Motion by Mike Mitchell, seconded by Hal Swann to give final approval to revisions on
policy IHF – Graduation Requirements. Voting for the motion: Ronnie Bell; Sherry
Mask; Mike Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the motion: None.

Motion by Ronnie Bell, seconded by Mike Mitchell to give final approval to revisions on
policy GBP – Professional Personnel Re-Employment. Voting for the motion: Ronnie

Motion by Hal Swann, seconded by Ronnie Bell to give final approval to revisions on

Motion by Mike Mitchell, seconded by Ronnie Bell to give final approval to revisions to
policy GBKAR – Professional Personnel (Reduction in Force). Voting for the motion:

None.

Motion by Hal Swann, seconded by Ronnie Bell to give final approval to revisions to
policy GCDC – At-Will Employee Separation. Voting for the motion: Ronnie Bell;

Motion by Ronnie Bell, seconded by Hal Swann to give final approval to rescind policy

Motion by Ronnie Bell, seconded by Hal Swann to give first approval to revisions to
policy GBRI 0 Absence from Duty. Voting for the motion: Ronnie Bell; Sherry Mask;
Mike Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the motion: None.

Motion by Mike Mitchell, seconded by Ronnie Bell to approve the request to use the
facilities at Verona School by All God’s Children Daycare in Verona. Voting for the
motion: Ronnie Bell; Sherry Mask; Mike Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the
motion: None.

Motion by Mike Mitchell, seconded by Hal Swann to approve the agreement/contract
with M-Power for WAIT Training Curriculum. Voting for the motion: Ronnie Bell;
Sherry Mask; Mike Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the motion: None.

Motion by Ronnie Bell, seconded by Hal Swann to approve a commitment that frying of
food is eliminated for a minimum of five (5) years in school sites that have received
Nutrition Integrity Grants. Voting for the motion: Ronnie Bell; Sherry Mask; Mike
Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the motion: None.

Motion by Ronnie Bell, seconded by Mike Mitchell to approve the ELL Plan for the
2012-2013 school year. Voting for the motion: Ronnie Bell; Sherry Mask; Mike
Mitchell; and Hal Swann. Voting against the motion: None.

Motion by Hal Swann, seconded by Ronnie Bell to approve a Lee County Schools Lease
Agreement Documentation Form to be used by the district in residency verification.

Motion by Hal Swann, seconded by Mike Mitchell to approve revisions to the Dual
Credit/Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement with Itawamba Community College.

The board decided to check on an alternate education site for the student. After
information is gathered, they will come back at next meeting and render a decision.
