granted by the President of Malta to graduates of a recognized medical school who have worked for
2 years as an intern on a rotating basis in a teaching hospital. Those with foreign medical degrees
must pass a statutory examination. Foreigners must obtain a work permit and are eligible for a
temporary licence only.
