BLAKE ANNOUNCE ‘THE CATHEDRAL CONCERTS’ SERIES
Classical quartet Blake announce the first of a series of concerts in cathedrals ‘The
Cathedral Concerts’. In November 2010, Truro Cathedral and Gloucester
Cathedral will host the first two concerts in this series which will run throughout
spring 2011 and will include Worcester, Bristol and Salisbury.

These cathedral concerts will be an opportunity to enjoy an evening of classical
and popular music from Blake (baritones Stephen Bowman and Jules Knight,
and tenors Ollie Baines and Humphrey Berney) in the spectacular atmosphere of
some of the most beautiful venues in the country.

Blake will be performing songs taken from their three best-selling albums including ‘Nessun Dorma’,
‘Bring Him Home’, ‘Ave Maria’, ‘La Califfa’, ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’ and ‘Jerusalem’ (which they
recently performed at Beverley Minster for the BBC programme Songs Of Praise). With orchestral
accompaniment from Southern Sinfonia, Blake will also be joined by Truro Cathedral Choir (at Truro
only) performing a number of popular choral favourites such as ‘O For The Wings Of A Dove’ and ‘Zadok
The Priest’.

Former choristers who reunited on Facebook, Blake’s self-titled chart-topping album became only the
second debut album to win ‘Album of the Year’ at the Classical Brit Awards. Their latest album,
‘Together’, shot straight into the Top 5 of the UK classical charts, was No.1 in Australia and South Africa
and was nominated for a Brit Award for Album of the Year.

Having performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley and Twickenham and with over
half a million albums sold worldwide, Blake continue to stylishly bridge the gap between classical and
pop with a stunning blend of voices. As the great Dame Shirley Bassey declared on hearing Blake sing
“They are divine, very handsome boys with gorgeous voices”

Blake are currently on a 26 date tour entitled ‘An Evening With Blake’.
