My Job responsibilities include:

Manage the retail sales & warehouse operations of the Company, ensuring that agreed customer service standards
& respective revenue & throughput targets are achieved or exceeded, while at the same time managing costs
within budget..


Responsible for the development & articulation of the vision & strategy for the regions/stores
Responsible for ensuring that the revenue targets for the stores are achieved or exceeded.
Motivate & challenge Store Managers to achieve sales & profit results.
Communicate store operations strategy & ensure its consistent execution
Responsible for all aspects of the warehousing & distribution function for the Aldo business, ensuring an
effective & efficient operation, service levels are met or exceeded & all activities are carried out within the
financial budgets agreed with the Aldo principals.
Champion the highest level of customer service across the retail business.
Ensure an exceptional level of store merchandising standards are executed across all stores
Establish and maintain a successful work culture. Recruit, retain, and develop an effective
rgional/store/warehouse management team. Coach & mentor store and warehouse management to facilitate their
professional and personal growth.
Determine annual regional/store budgets in collaboration with Regional Management and other senior executives
Work with other senior executives to drive key initiatives within the business
Oversee the development of clear processes to control shrink resulting from customer and staff theft, poor
administration, and damage to displayed and stored merchandise
Oversee the development and implementation of standards of best practice throughout retail operations
Proactively monitor warehouse and regional/store performance taking remedial action and implementing
operational improvements as necessary
Clearly and consistently communicate retail priorities and objectives to the regional/store management team
through the Store Manager Monthly Meetings
Understand the changing retail landscape in order to take advantage of new opportunities
Implement continuous improvement projects
Review and agree with the General Manager, Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director the merchandise
price points to reflect the brand values and local competition
Achieve and exceed all assigned Targets

 Monthly meetings to discuss company performance and to discuss future strategy
 Regular meetings to update the M.D. with new future initiatives and any outstanding issues and action planned to
address the same
 Formal personnel performance reviews every 12 months

• Brand Manager :
Regular meetings to discuss new promotional activity and the performance of previous promotions as they relate
to the stores
Discuss feedback from store personnel and customers
    • HR Manager :

    Monthly meetings to discuss new store management and supervisory appointments

    Monthly meetings (Store Manager meetings) to discuss current store performance, future collections, and
    new operational processes
    Regular meetings to discuss regional and store performance in relation to budget, adherence to current
    policies and procedures, staff and security issues
    • Warehouse Manager
    Weekly meeting to discuss any distribution or staff issues, new practices and any planned investment
    Regular meeting relating to the delivery of merchandise to the stores

STORE MANAGER                                                               MAY 2005 TO APRIL 2007

The role is responsible to efficiently manage store operations and sales contribution through maximizing every
opportunityto drive sales
reduce stock loss and maintain cost controls. The position in-charge in delivering the highest levels of motivation and
development of team members and store compliance of all the brand's standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Checks and monitors standards application of in-store visual displays
Follows brand/lay-out guidelines correctly in order to deliver brand values
Ensures up-to-date "look" of window displays along with the Assistant Manager
Drives and heads sales floor presentation, housekeeping and replenishment principles as per brand standards
Ensures that guidelines and standards for visual presentation and store appearance are being followed

Ensures systematic flow of work and operations
Ensures cleanliness and orderliness and proper stocking of items with regards to health and safety
Ensures daily bank deposits, petty cash control and liquidation
Ensures awareness in internal communication e.g., emails, memos, incoming/outgoing business correspondences
Double checks stock transfers and inventory documents
Re-checks customer item return/exchange/discount/promo transactions
Heads the periodical/yearly store inventory/stock-taking
Supports management decisions, requirements, expectations
Commits to follow and observe all store policies, rules and regulations

Responsible in efficient supervision and administration of all store staff
Ensures delivery of highest standards of in-store training including weekly communication meetings, regular debriefs,
product knowledge and on-job trainings
Recommends staff areas of training needs and ensures that these are addressed through training and development
Monitors staff performance and identifies potential employees to be put under development programs
