Locals Call Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort Home
South Shore locals have long thought of Sierra
Resort as their home mountain – and for good reason.
Their season pass is still the lowest in the area, the
employees are friendly and the vibe is just right for
kick_n back and chill_n. This winter, there are even
more reasons to love Sierra-at-Tahoe.
On February 7, Sierra Resort will kick off their
Arts & Culture program in the Sierra Pub with free
beer tasting by Jack Russell Brewing Company, music
by local band The Tritones and art on display by South
Shore artist E. Peter Darvis. For the rest of the season,
the Sierra Pub will be a focal point for local artists and
musicians as well as the wineries and breweries from
nearby Apple Hill.
Sierra Resort is also launching a myriad of new
deals to help out locals who might be hurting in this
winter’s weak tourism economy. Want to ski but don’t
have daycare? No problem. Any local who buys a full
price ticket can park their kid in Sierra’s state licensed
facility for free.
Want to drink beer on a budget? The Pub Club is for
you. You buy a heafy ceramic Pub Club mug for $59.95
and Sierra Resort will fill it up all season long at happy
hour prices. Where else in this town can you get 24 oz.
of beer for just $4? And you keep the mug at the end of
the season.
And let’s be honest . . . do terrain parks get any better
than at Sierra Resort? The Alley, Bashful, Broadway and
the Burton Progression Park are dialed in. As soon as
Mother Nature sends the snow, the South Shore’s only
Superpipe and only BoarderX course will appear.
     And you just can’t beat those tree lines . . . .
