Speech Communications October 11, 2009 THE KEYS TO SUCCESS Hello my name is Michelle Mullins. I am here today to talk to you about three keys to success. I feel that after hearing me you will agree that Vision, Being at the right place at the right time, and Taking massive immediate action are the three keys to success. So now we will start with vision. Vision can be seen in many different ways. For me it is having the ability to see what you want. You must seek out were your place in the world is and have the vision to reach it. Once you have figured out what it is you want in life you must make a plan to get it. You must see what steps are needed, organize your steps, and execute the steps. This will get you started in the right direction and will set you up to be in the right place at the right time. Being in the right place at the right time, what does this mean? We often hear people say this phrase but what does it mean. I am sure that some people do luck up and find themselves in the right place at the right time. For me this just does not seem to work. I am one that feels you must seek out the right place and time and make sure you are there. Very seldom will you find opportunity knocking at your door. You must find opportunity and grab a hold of it before it slips away, hence being at the right place at the right time. You must research and investigate and find out when different functions are going on that will benefit your vision. Weather it be job fairs, seminars, or even social events. Once you put yourself there you must take massive immediate action.

Now it is time to take massive immediate action. Once you have put yourself at the right place you cannot be passive about it. You must take action. This can be done in many ways. With most cases there is an individual or group of individuals that you need to help you reach your vision. Once you have put yourself around this person or people you must bring yourself to their attention. You do not want to come off as a nuisance and a pest. You want to sell yourself as someone that is resourceful and motivated. You must show them that you are a no nonsense person with a vision that you what to make them apart of. You must be confident but not arrogant. Listen as much as you talk, ask questions, and be willing to take advice. This can and will make your vision a success. In conclusion I am sure that you can see having a Vision, Being at the right place at the right time, and Taking massive immediate action will lead you to success. If you will take these three keys and run with them you will not be disappointed. I thank you for taking the time to listen to me and I can’t wait to see you in your successful future.
