Reference information should be requested as part of the tender documentation. This
should be a number of case studies (3) and a client list.

The take up of references will depend on the type of reference required – technical or
commercial.

Technical References should be taken up by the client department either in writing
or by telephone. All questions & answers should be documented and supplied to you
in hard copy or on email.

Commercial References should be taken up by you.

A template questionnaire can be used and will need to be tailored to the individual
project.

You will need to complete the following missing information:
    Extension
    Name
    CTPXXX
    Date of letter
    Name & address of Tenderer
    Salutation
    Tender Title
    Day & date for return of reference
    Your name
    Your job title

The questionnaire & covering letter can be issued in Hard Copy or on email.

On receipt of all references, the evaluation team need to make a collective
assessment of how the appropriate companies fair.
