Hormones are chemicals that control certain
body processes.
Testosterone is a hormone that causes body
changes to occur in boys.
Puberty usually begins between ages 9-15
Increase in height
Shoulders broaden
Muscle mass increases
Voice changes
Growth of body hair
Appearance of facial hair
Breast buds
Reproductive organs increase in size
Production of sperm
Mood swings
Different parts of the body grow at different
rates
Hands and feet reach full size first
Legs, arms and trunk are growing too.

The hormone testosterone causes the
shoulders to broaden and muscles to
increase.

When a boy reaches puberty, he will start to
produce sperm for the first time.

When sperm leave the body, they combine
with fluid from the seminal vesicle and
prostate gland in a fluid called semen.
The penis fills with blood and becomes hard.

It is normal.
Erections are not as noticeable as you think.
It will go away of its own accord.
