                        ORGANIZATIONAL VISION

What are they

An organizational vision provides information to all about why the organization
exists. It is intended to reflect the deep shared vision of everyone in an
organization. To those already in the organization, it should provide a sense of
shared purpose and direction. For prospective new members, it can provide a
foundational reason why they might wish to join. For those outside, it can
provide a reason to support the organization. A vision is truly shared when
members of the organization have a similar picture of the future they are trying to
create and are committed to movement of the organization toward the vision.

When to use them

The International Space University Vision already exists. The team will be
developing their mission statement and it should be supportive of the
organizational vision. Therefore, the design project teams should be aware of
the organizational vision.

Example
