                   OFFICIALS’ CLUB MEETING/STAFF APPRECIATION PARTY

                             WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20
                   FAIRLANES BOWLING CENTER, GRANDVILLE
6:30PM – OFFICIALS’ CLUB MEETING (INCLUDING ELECTIONS FOR THE 2005-2006
                              EXECUTIVE BOARD).
8:00PM – STAFF APPRECIATION PARTY WITH PRIZES, FREE FOOD AND BOWLING

                                   IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

   1. Please RSVP to confirm your attendance at the meeting/recognition party by e-mailing
(gvintra@gvsu.edu) or by calling Bob at 331-3661

   2. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for one of the vacant Officials’ Club
executive board positions (vice-president, secretary, treasurer), please do so by NOON on
      Wednesday, April 20.

FYI: The primary responsibilities for the vice-president are to compose the Officials’ Club
newsletter and to assume the responsibilities of the president until the new Graduate Assistant is
acclimated to the intramural sports program.

The primary responsibility of the secretary is to take meeting minutes.

The primary responsibilities of the treasurer are to compose the Officials’ Club budget and
               to monitor future fund-raising activities.

It is important for ALL executive board members to stress and be active in acquiring involvement
and empowerment to ensure that this is truly a “student-run” club.

   3. Graduating Seniors: Please provide me with a short bio of yourself so that you can be
recognized at the appreciation party. You must include: degree; future plans; and a review
of your accomplishments/work with the intramural sports program over the years.

   4. If you have not returned a ballot to vote on most outstanding officials in basketball, indoor soccer
and volleyball, please do so ASAP.
   5. Summer employment: Please reply to me if you will be in the area this summer and would be
interested in possible extra work with the intramural sports program. (We will need softball
      umpires and possible office help.)

   6. If your summer contact information will be different from the information that we currently have
for you (phone and e-mail), please let me know.

   7. 2005-2006 Intramural Supervisors: New supervisors will be identified at the Officials’ Club
      meeting this Wednesday, April 20.

OFFICIALS’ CLUB BUDGET:

Thanks to Student Senate President, Jon Osborn, and the allocation committee that the Officials’
Club has been allocated $140 for next year.

Thank you again, JoAnn Lange, for all of your hard work in composing this year’s budget.

As a club, it is now your chance, your time, to take the reins of the club. To be a successful student
organization and to compete with the likes of the Wrestling Club for a budget, WE NEED TO BEGIN
FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS. I need for each of you to provide ideas for fundraisers so we can raise
money to be self-sufficient next year.

Please use this e-mail as a forum to present your ideas with fellow club members or contact me (331-3218
or rosickjo@gvsu.edu) with any thoughts.
