He is currently employed at the department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, in South
Africa as Chief Director: Environmental Planning and Cooperation.
His major responsibilities includes coordination of intergovernmental environmental planning,
State of Environment Reporting, Stakeholder Liaison and National Follow-up of major MEAs
and the WSSD in particular.
Before assuming his current job He was Special Advisor to Vice-Chancellor of the University of
Western Cape (in South Africa) from Deputy Director Communications (2000 -2003) Director for
International Cooperation from 2003 to 2006 and current job since then.
He graduated his LLB (Law) – Undergraduate at the University of Limpopo in 1995, Graduate
Diploma in Community Relations and Development (2000) Communication and Post Graduate in
Corporate Governance (2003) and is currently a Masters of Business Leadership (MBL) scholar
at the University of South Africa (School for Business Leadership)
In the past 15 years he has occupied amongst various positions of leadership and responsibility in
the youth and student movement in South Africa and internationally.
