									INSTRUCTIONS
The Basic Tax Calculator is designed to estimate the Individual Income Tax liability of Tax-resident Individuals for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2008. 1. Enter data (where necessary) in the yellow shaded areas. 2. On the menu bar at the top of the tax computation worksheet, select "Tools", click on the "Options", "View" tab and select "Comment Indicator only". When you move your cursor into any of the yellow area with a red comment tab, comment bubbles will help you determine the amount of income, deduction and relief to be entered.

If you need more information on the income or relief, click on the Key Terms on the left highlighted in blue. After you have entered the appropriate values, the calculator will compute your estimated tax liability.
*Note:
This Tax Calculator serves to provide you with an estimate of your tax liability, based on the information you have entered. The actual amount of your tax liability shown in your Notice of Assessment, if any, may be different from the amount estimated, depending on the complexity of your case.
