Major Grades – 70%
A. 2-3 Major Exams per six weeks. These exams will be very rigorous in keeping with a
college level course. They will be cumulative. Any assigned reading, current event,
presentations, or discussion is subject to testing. Make up test are given once a week (day TBA).
The student must complete the test at this time. If the test is not completed at this time, a 0 will be

B Projects – There will be one project grade per six weeks.
Daily Grades – 30%
A Daily quizzes are over current events, previous material, outside readings, and
B Class presentations and designated in class work is also included in daily grades. Students
will be asked to present readings and current articles to the class. Some of these will count as daily
grades, and they may even count as double daily grades.
Be present and on time – you will find it very difficult to pass this class if you are not in
attendance. Government can be a challenging course and much of what you will be expected top
master will be presented in class. On time means at your desk with necessary materials.

Dress code – please follow the TISD student handbook. I do not like to waste my time with dress
code issues. Hence, it is expected that you will be in compliance and not cause me to do so.
Restroom – with short 48-minute classes, this should not be an issue
Late work and make up work – TISD policies will be followed. Please review student handbook.
Homework is graded as a part of the notebook, tested on daily quizzes, and is included on major exams
