Senior portraits are due on November 12, 2010.
If you go to a professional Photographer please tell them the following:
Our deadline date is November 12th
We would prefer to receive the photo on disk rather than a print. A print is fine
if they prefer. I don’t want you to have to pay any additional fees.
Photographers may put all PSHS students on one disk. I do not need separate
disks for each student.
We are printing the yearbook in black and white (a color photo is acceptable if
that’s all you’ve got)
Portraits should be vertical. Horizontal shots will have to be cropped.
Final print size is approx. 2 ½ by 3 ½
Any background is fine as long as contrast between the subject and the
background is adequate. Indoor, outdoor, beach, etc. are all fine.
If they have any questions or do not think they can make the deadline, they may
e-mail me at email@example.com
If you do not hire a professional photographer you must adhere to the following:
The picture must be a portrait. That means it is just you, and your head and face
are the focal point of the picture. I strongly suggest that you google the
photographers on the back and look at some of the senior portraits they have
done. They know what we’re looking for.
No candids as portraits! While we want you to be able to express your
individuality in the yearbook, there needs to be some uniformity to the senior
portrait pages. Students without portraits will not be included on the portrait
Digital photos must be high resolution. Pictures taken on a digital camera with
less than 3.2 megapixels cannot be used (no cell phones!).
Digital photos must be submitted on a CD with your name written on it.
If you submit a print, it must be professionally developed. Do not submit
photos printed on your home computer!!! They will not maintain quality as they
go through the book printing process.
If you would like to use your School ID picture, you may purchase a package
from Hilton Photography and give me one of the wallets.
I will be giving you plenty of reminders about deadlines throughout the first months of
school. So, pay careful attention to the announcements. Thanks!
The following photographers have submitted senior portraits to us in the past
and are all excellent quality. However, some of these photographers may
already be booked up. If you choose any of them, they will know what needs to
be submitted, and they will get us the portraits on time.
