A. The Tournament Committee will accept applications in the order submitted. A team becomes an official
entry after the tournament committee has properly received the application fee and roster form.
B. All teams must register by June 13th, 2011.
C. Teams selected for participation will be notified by June 15st, 2011.
D. Games will be played rain or shine unless extreme weather conditions exist on Jun 18th, 2011. Rain date will
be Jun 25th, 2011.
E. Should the tournament not commence on the above-mentioned dates, all teams will receive full
reimbursement for monies received by the tournament committee.
F. Entry Fee is $200/team.
G. Early Bird registration, register by 15-May-2011 and receive a $50/team discount (team must have Check
and Roster forms postmarked on or before 15-May-2011 to receive discount)
H. Any team selected for participation that decides not to play will forfeit its registration fee.
A. All Referees will be PIAA or AYSO certified.
B. Referees will adhere to the NHSF and FIFA Rules.
C. All referees will be in full uniform (PIAA or AYSO).
D. Referees will have full control of all games (all decisions are final).
III. Player Qualifications:
A. Players must be entering grades 10, 11 or 12 during the 2011/2012 school year to be eligible for the High
School Boys or High School Girls Divisions.
B. Players must be entering grades 7, 8 or 9during the 2011/2012 school year to be eligible for the Middle
School Boys or Middle School Girls Divisions.
C. Rosters must be completed and submitted with tournament application (changes can be made the day of the
tournament if needed).
D. Coed teams will be allowed, but they must play in the boys division.
E. Players may play up (ex. A 9th grader can play on a HS team), but may not play down (ex. A 10 grader
cannot play on a MS team)
A. All teams will be guaranteed a minimum of three games.
B. All groupings will be done by random draw at least one day prior to the tournament.
C. Any school with more than one team in the same division will automatically be placed in a different bracket
D. Schedules will be released at least one day before the tournament. Any changes to the aforementioned will
be passed along to the coaches.
A. All games will be 15 minutes in length and will employ a continuous clock. Games will start and end with a
central horn. In the event of an injury, the referee may add time at the end of a game if the injury occurs in
the latter part of the game. Teams are expected to be ready to take the field 5 minutes prior to start of game;
warm-ups must be done prior to taking the field.
B. Games will be played with 6 field players and 1 Goalkeeper (7v7).
C. A minimum of 5 players shall constitute a team. A scheduled game shall not commence if one or both teams
cannot field 5 players. If either team is not ready, the game shall be deemed a forfeit. The winning team
shall receive a 1-0 victory.
D. All free kicks are indirect unless a referee awards a penalty kick for a fowl inside the box
E. There will be NO offside's
F. Keepers may not punt or drop kick the ball under any circumstances and may not throw the ball over the mid
field line (ball will be placed on the midfield line for an indirect free keep for the opposing team)
G. Coaches or parents shall not enter the field of play unless requested by the official.
H. If a player receives a yellow card, her/she does not have to be substituted for.
I. If a player receives a red card the team will play down for the remainder of the game and that player may not
reenter the game. A player with a red card will sit out that game and the next game as well.
J. The tournament will be divided into one or more groups. The tournament committee has the right to
structure a division in the best interest of the participants. Random draw will be used if possible. Each team
will play qualifying games. The most points scored within each respective division will decide advancement
to playoff rounds.
1. 6 Points for a Victory
2. 3 Points for a Tie
3. Goals: 1 Point for each goal scored (Maximum 3 goals per game)
4. Forfeit: Recorded as 1-0 win
5. Each Yellow Card: Deduct 1 point
6. Each Red Card: Deduct 2 points
L. Overtime: during playoff games only will be as follows
1 x 10min golden goal half followed by a PK shootout (best out of 5 and then head to head) you must pick
from the 7 players on the field at the end of the 10 min OT period first. FIFA rules apply.
A. Substitutions will be "on the fly".
B. Substitution for injury:
1. If a player is injured, the coach may sub the injured player, in which case the injured player
may not return until cleared by the referee.
2. A coach may play down a player if they so choose.
3. The referee may stop the play immediately, or wait until the ball is out of play (if the play is not
near the injured player). This is at the referee’s discretion.
VII. Tie Breaker Criteria
In the event that a tie exists when determining the top teams in each group, the following criteria will be used:
1. Head-to-head competition
2. Least goals allowed
3. Least red cards received
4. Least yellow cards received
5. Most goals scored (maximum 3 per game)
6. Shoot-out (see Overtime section above)
A. Individual players of 1st place teams in all Divisions will receive a medal and a champions t-shirt (13 +1
B. Individual players of 2nd and 3rd place teams in all Divisions will receive medals. (13 +1 for coach)
IX. Roles and Responsibilities of the Coaches and Referees:
A. Each coach and referee must uphold the Tournament Rules and Regulations.
B. At all times encourage good sportsmanship and fair play.
C. Participate in positive coaching and control all spectators on your team.
D. Sideline coaching is limited to two coaches per team.
E. Negative comments to the Referee will not be tolerated.
F. A team coach receiving a Red Card will cost the team 2 points during the qualification round.
G. Referees will implement NHSF and FIFA Laws of the game.
Each field is approximately 110’ x 220’
Size 5 balls will be used for all Divisions
Protests will not be allowed

From Selinsgrove: Take RT 61 across the bridge to Sunbury. Make a Right off the ramp towards ST/PA-147
towards Herndon. Continue to follow PA-147South to Herndon (~13.8miles). Go through Herndon and take a
right onto PA-225 after you pass a A-Plus is on the Left and a ACE Hardware is on the right. Go approximately 2
miles. After you pass Meckleys Lime Stone quarry make the next right at the top of the knoll on to Dairy Road.
Go approximately 0.5 miles and the fields are on the left.

From Danville: Take RT 11S towards Northumberland. Make a left in Northumberland towards Sunbury onto
RT 147S. Go across the bridge and at the light Turn RIGHT onto S FRONT ST/ PA-147. Continue to follow PA-
147South to Herndon (~15miles). Go through Herndon and take a right onto PA-225 after you pass a A-Plus is
on the Left and a ACE Hardware is on the right. Go approximately 2 miles. After you pass Meckleys Lime
Stone quarry make the next right at the top of the knoll on to Dairy Road. Go approximately 0.5 miles and the
fields are on the left.

From Millersburg: Travel PA-147N towards Herndon PA (Approximately 15 miles). At the intersection bare to
the right The A-Plus will be in front of you. Go approximately 100yds and make a Right onto PA-225. Go
approximately 2 miles. After you pass Meckleys Lime Stone quarry make the next right at the top of the knoll on
to Dairy Road. Go approximately 0.5 miles and the fields are on the left.
