include brunch depending on which company we select. Also there is an African animal
park called Safari West, $68 per person for 2hr + tour and it’s a cab ride away to many
wineries. Molly is also checking on any other events locally that have not been posted on
Web yet. Sunday you may choose a different group/route for the return trip.
Vicki H. has assumed the job of getting the GCR name badges and pins. She will email
all the information to the membership so those who want badges and pins can bring the
money to the next ride or meeting.
Karey H.- Will be upgrading website into the 21st century. She plans on cleaning up the
many layers behind the scene and make it easier to use for any member to take over the
position of posting our events. Steps would be: gathering information from members,
putting it in a document and a tech person to put a link on the page. The group discussed
putting our routes on the web for prospective/newer riders to check out and compare their
abilities. Several new members have already done this before coming to the meetings
and joining the group.
The website will be down over the Holiday Weekend for the transition from old to new.
She still needs someone to step up and sort through all the old files. Ladies, please
someone needs to help with these files. Send pictures to her to be posted. She feels it is
the face of our group. It introduces us to the public and is helpful for people to find us.
Karey H.—Fall Jamboree with the Idaho Gems has been discussed about meeting in
Lakeview, which is about halfway between for both groups. A starting date about the 1st
of September has been mentioned, but much depends on weather and availability of
members’ time. Details will be forthcoming.
