Deciduous Shrubs – 5 gallon size
Abbotswood Potentilla: 2-3’ height, dense blue-green foliage with pure white flowers all
summer, prefers sun.
Alpine Currant: 3-5’ height, globular rich green shrub with red mealy fruits to midsummer,
prefers filtered-full sun.
American Compact Cranberry: 4-5’ height, dark green leafed rounded shrub turning fall red with
bright red berries.
Anthony Waterer Spirea: 2-4’ height, leaves open purplish-red to medium green with clusters of
bright ruby red flowers mid-summer, prefers sun.
Bluemist Spirea: 3-4’ height, shrub with blue flowers in late summer, prefers sun.
Burkwood Viburnum: 2-4’ height, very fragrant, white flowers, prefers sun.
Coral Beauty Cotoneaster: 12” height, dense prostrate branches covered in petite rich foliage
followed by brilliant coral berries in the fall.
Crimson Pygmy Barberry: 1-2’ height, low growing shrub with shiny wine-red leaves, prefers
Daphine Spirea: 1-2’ height, dense mounded shrub with clusters of rich rose-pink flowers in
Dwarf Burning Bush: 5=6’ height, corky stems of dark green foliage that turns to scarlet in fall.

Evergreen Shrubs – 5 gallon size
Blue Chip Juniper: 8-12” height, low stale blue foliage that turns a plum color in winter.
Buffalo Juniper: 12-18” height, bright olive green foliage with horizontal spread.
Dwarf Globe Spruce: 18-14” height, compact, rounded, dwarf spruce of good blue color. Slow
grower, densely branched.
Dwarf Bird’s Nest Spruce: 18-24” height, dense dwaft spreading nestlike mound of grayish
Dwarf Mugo Pine (White Bud): 18-24” height, dense, compact, spreading. Winter buds have an
attractive, white, waxy coating all winter. Gives a frosty look in winter.
Scandia Juniper: 18-24” height, dense rounded upright spreading plant with light olive green
Slowmound Mugo Pine: 2-3’ height, dwarf mugo with dense dark green needles and stays
reliably round and compact.

All homeowners and residents MUST obtain written approval from the Architectural Control
Committee (ACC) before any alteration, changes or modifications are made to the “common
area” mulch beds around any townhome. This includes planting of annual flowers, planting
materials listed above or any other type or variety of flowers or plants. NOTE: Planting any type
of tree in the mulch area between the townhome and the sidewalks is prohibited.
A written request, photo’s of the existing area and planning diagram (plan) is required for
submittal to the ACC for planting in any common area mulch beds. Submittal of a plan does not

from the common area and stored out-of-sight at the end of the growing season.
