Conditions of Entry
The competition will be held under the PONY CLUB Eventing Rules 2012. For dress and tack rules please visit The
Pony club’s website www.pcuk.org under the appropriate discipline.
AGE: - as on date of competition
NOVICE: - Combination of horse and rider not to have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any competition which includes a
cross country course more than a total of three times. Class 1&2 – after Elimination on the Cross Country course
you may not continue and must leave the course at a walk.
BEGINNERS:-Combination of horse and rider not to have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any competition which
includes a cross-country course more than a total of three times. Classes 3-8 may continue course after Elimination
at the judge’s discretion.
The course may be walked dismounted from 2pm on Saturday 30th June 2012 NO DOGS ALLOWED
Tack will be inspected and any competitor incorrectly turned out will be allowed to compete once they comply.
HATS: Jockey Skull Caps with no fixed peak are strongly recommended for all XC classes and are compulsory for
Classes 1 – 5. All Hats must comply with Pony Club rules and must be tagged with a Pony Club tag.
Body Protectors and Medical armbands are compulsory. Riders who choose to use a body cage please advise the

LEWIS CUPS will be awarded to winners of classes 1, 3 and 6.
McGREGOR SHIELDS to the winners of classes 2 and 5.
THE ABERDOUR HOTEL SHIELDS will be presented to the winners of classes 4 and 7
NITHSDALE TROPHY to winner of class 8.
THE BRIAN HAINING MEMORIAL ROSEBOWLS will be presented to the highest placed N P C members in classes 1, 3, 6
CALLANDER TROPHY – Highest placed Nithsdale Member – Class 4
COFFEE CUP – Highest placed Nithsdale Member – Class 7

In case of cancellation the organisers reserve the right to retain a small administration fee.

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone
present. For these measures to be affective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid & prevent
accidents occurring & must obey the instructions of the organisers & all officials & stewards
