									TDA Application Process

In order to complete an application for the Stockton-on-Tees Graduate Teacher Training
Programme you need to click on the TDA link on the home page.

You then need to follow these instructions:

   The red box will appear at the top left hand of your screen entitled “Apply now for teacher
    training” - click on this link.

   Several boxes will appear you need to click on the box entitled “Apply for the GTP now”.

   Indicate which phase you are interested in i.e. primary or secondary and then in the search for
    a provider box type Stockton-on-Tees. Then press search.

   Stockton-on-Tees will appear at the top of the page – click on this link.

   Go to the bottom of this page and click on apply.

   Put in your email address and password and press register.

   Put in your first name, surname, email address, password and then confirm your password.
    When this is completed press submit.

   Your details will then be registered with the TDA and an email will be sent to you containing an
    activation link.

   Open the email from the TDA and click on the activation link – this will take you to the TDA
    website. Activate will appear and you need to click on “sign in” below this.

   Enter your email address and password then click on sign in.

   My application appears which is a record of what you have completed to date. You need to
    click on search for a training provider or school.

   Put in phase and location which is Stockton-on-Tees then click search.

   Click on Stockton-on-Tees.

   Go to the bottom of this page and click on apply.

   Read this page and click on confirm then click on next.

   This is the application which you need to complete.

Personal Statement

Your personal statement should be no longer than 600 words and should include:

 Your reason for wanting to train to be a teacher and why you believe that you will enjoy

 Why you believe the GTP route will be right for you.

 Emphasise the relevance of your previous studies, career and experiences to the subject
  and/or age group you have chosen for teacher training. Give examples to illustrate each point,
   including examples from your school experience and from any other experience you may have
   of working with children.

 Please include a brief summary of your present role or training and any ability, interest or
  hobby that you believe would enhance your application.
