S/N Assessment task

In pairs, create a profile of a TNC, e.g. Apple, Microsoft, Nike, Shell, Ford, Cotton On,
Monsanto, Goldman Sachs, Macdonalds, Adidas, News Corporation, BHP, Nokia, Alcoa,
Disney, Nestle and Chanel.

You will need to include:

   1.  Name
   2.  Head office location
   3.  Size of global workforce
   4.  Annual sales turnover
   5.  Annual net profit
   6.  The number of countries in which it operates
   7.  Major activities involved, eg produces what, owns what (think of what Google is
       involved in)
   8. Any controversies surrounding this TNC
   9. Example of positive/philanthropic work in which it’s involved
   10. Summing up: explain how the activities of your TNC demonstrate how the lives of
       citizens in the twenty-first century are interconnected globally

You may present this in any appropriate format.

You must include a bibliography. Resources used must be correctly cited, eg. it is not
acceptable to simply write the URL of a web site. Use the ONLINE REFERENCING
GENERATOR available on the library’s homepage.



Assessment
