                    SAN PEDRO HIGH SCHOOL – SCHOOL-WIDE ACTION PLAN - SECTION 1 - FALL 2011
Goa1 #1: IMPROVED STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT: Students will see the link between instruction, assessment, and mastery of
standards as demonstrated by increased grade-level promotion through a decrease of D’s and F’s
Rationale: Self Study and visiting team findings indicate a need to improve the students’ awareness of the correlation between classroom
performance, standardized test performance, and grade-level promotion.
San Pedro High School critical academic needs:
■ address discrepancies between teacher expectations and student classroom and standardized test achievement
■ increase alignment between classroom performance outcomes and standardized test achievement
■ increase use of formative assessments to monitor progress and maintain alignment with instructional goals.
