Job Description
Role Titles: Insurance Arranger
Location: Pontypridd (requirement to provide cover in Cardiff office)
Contractual Status
of Role: Temporary 12 month contract, 37 hours per week
Job Title of Line
Manager: FSA Insurance Supervisor/Trading Manager
Job Purpose
To provide exceptional customer service selling our range of insurances and other
leading products and services.
Responsibilities
The Post holder shall:
1. Be competent to perform the role as set out in this Job Description
2. Remain competent to perform this role
3. Undergo a regular review of their competence
4. Accept appropriate supervision based on their skills and knowledge levels
Key Tasks
1. To deliver exceptional local face-to-face information and sales service to new and
existing customers.
2. To undertake learning and development opportunities as required and ensure
subject knowledge is fully up-to-date.
Insurance and Trading Products
1. To introduce Age UK products and services to customers.
2. To handle inbound calls made directly to the sales team or transferred from other
Age UK or Age Cymru organisations and make outbound sales and service calls to
our existing customers and enquirers.

3. To adhere to and maintain competence in the services and products that you deal
with, including compliance with Age UK Enterprises, Age Cymru Enterprises and
FSA requirements.
4. To actively demonstrate support for corporate objectives of customer service, cross
sales and increased customer loyalty.
5. To provide product information to customers to enable them to make an informed
choice.
6. To provide prompt, courteous and accurate preparation of insurance quotations for
customers
7. To close the sale.
8. To accurately complete all administration and documentation in accordance with the
organisations procedures and service standards.
9. To prepare cash sheets, adhere to the cash, banking and reconciliation procedure.
10. To actively market all products and to maximize marketing opportunities, for
example, by attendance at events.
11. To be able to identify sales opportunities, and to increase trading income from every
opportunity.
12. To keep up-to-date on changes to products and ensure all current literature is in use
in all office and leaflet areas.

The role holder will be required to travel by car throughout the South East Wales
area together with occasional wider UK travel and work some unsocial hours.
