THANK YOU LETTERS

“God with us”

Christmas check I
recently received in the

UCC members think
of us “old” people.”

“Yes, this check from
the UCC Annual Christmas
Fund Offering did indeed
brighten my day.
Thank you!”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Yes, this gift does remind
me of God’s presence and
the care he has given me my
whole life. I thank god for
all the blessings he has
bestowed upon me,
God Bless you all…”
“God with us”

Love and peace. “This
is the day which the lord
has made. Let us rejoice
and be glad in it.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Please extend to the Pension
Boards my heartfelt thank you
for the most generous check. It
indeed came at the right time.
We needed a new dryer and
with your thoughtfulness,
it appeared. Many thanks.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I think of you each
month as the monthly
check arrives. How
many times it has been
there to help meet
expenses for the month.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Now that my husband has
passed away and my health
has deteriorated, I am
completely living on my
retirement salary of less than
$1500 a moth. Yours was a
blessed gift and very greatly
appreciated, especially at this
joyous Christmas Season.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Thank you so very much for
your most generous Christmas
gift. The gift did brighten my
day and warmed my heart that
you would think of me at this
Christmas Season, as I am only
the wife of a deceased UCC
minister…”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“It is very important for us to say
“thank you” to someone. The
special Christmas check is very
welcome sight. Sixty-seven years
of marriage equals quite a clan –
were into great grand children
bracket now. eight and going on
nine at the present count.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Many thanks for the increase
in monthly assistant.
How grateful for you all that
the giving of faithful members
has held up so well that we who
are in the closing years on earth
can be blessed by their
goodness.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Please give my thanks to
each one who made this gift
possible. The love and
kindness reflects God’s love,
through your ministry.
It is a blessing and a big help
for me. Bless you in this
advent season
and on in the year.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I never expected to live
long enough to be a
recipient for the Christmas
Fund. I want the church to
know how much the gift is
appreciated.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I am deeply touched by
your Christian concern and
sincere wishes and
greetings on this Christmas
season and New Year.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I thank you and deeply
appreciate your monetary
gift of the tree hundred
dollars, which I’ll use in
the Lord’s service.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I pray that the lord we serve
together in his love may fill
you with the Joy of his
presence and divine guidance,
much needed for us all to be
of blessing to others in
need of his love and care.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Many, many thanks I can’t
thank you and God like I want
to. The gift truly represents
God’s presence, care and love.
May the Lord continue
to bless each of you
and peace.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“God’s presence, care
and love, have been blessedly
with me from the moment
I was conceived. My challenge
has been to give our God the
hugest, monumental, thank you
for his love and care for me.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“For all those who are lead
by and full of God’s spirit,
I again say, “thank you.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“As a relic from the deep
past when ministers salaries
were small and women
minister’s salaries even
smaller, I appreciate the gift.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Again I express my thankfulness.
I will be 90 years of age this year.
I retired when I was sixty-two
following the advice of my doctor
after a heart attack. I have been
through open heart surgery twice,
and I am reaching my ninetieth
birthday. It must be your care that
has empowered me, sincerely
thank you.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Along with my Christmas
wishes I send a heartfelt thank
you for the generous check I just
received. I was overwhelmed
at the gracious consideration and
send forth blessing to all the
members of our UCC who
have shared with us retirees.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I pray daily for all who
gather with loving
hearts to keep
our church strong.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Please accept my sincere thanks
for the wonderful advent gift. It
is so gratifying to know that we
elders are still remembered as real
persons, even though we cannot
give the service to others as we
would like. Our love for our
friends and family is constant.
God’s blessings to you all.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I would like to say a big
thank you for the check I
received recently. You seem
to know exactly when they
are needed. I can assure you
it will be put to very good
use. Thank you again.”

Matthew 1: 18-25
“I am going to share it with
my oldest daughter who
looked after the young
children in our family while
I worked in ministry with
my husband.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Thank you again for all you
do, for us. It sure makes a
difference. It is greatly
appreciated and real help in
making our Christmas
a joyful time.”

Matthew 1: 18-25
“Thank you! Thank you for
the check to me from the Annual
Christmas Fund Offering, it will
certainly help to brighten living
for me during this wondrous
Season of Christmas.
A time of remembering God’s
love and that of love
among humanity.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Your Christmas letter
was much appreciated; it
lifted my spirits – a needed lift.
As always I was struck
by the generosity of our
denomination
and its good people.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
I am late in expressing my
gratitude for all the financial
support tendered me through
the year, gifts which have
made my life easier and
my heart made lighter.
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“It is with the deepest appreciation
and thanks to the Pension Boards
for the Christmas gift. At eighty-six
and a widow, trying to keep up
with house bills and taxes etc.
this gift is so appreciated.
Thank you again
and best wishes”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I want to take the time
to thank you for the monetary
gift given to me by UCBMA.
My service, love, call and
passion toward the UCC
makes it all worth it to be!”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“This gesture came at a time
of great need. I can’t thank
you enough! May God continue
blessing our ministries in many
ways and paths. In faithful
partnership.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Thank you so much for the grant
this year! I am so grateful to you and
others in my church who made this
possible! As I said in my application,
God is calling me to be a mystic,
writing me to house of prayer in
the early morning homes and much
of which is for you and my UCC
and Christians throughout the world.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Thank you very much
for the Christmas check
I just received. How nice it
is to be remembered by the
church that has been such an
important part of my life
for so many years.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“A very special thank you
for the recent check I received
and is greatly appreciated. It
comes at very great time when
needed. I needed a complete
physical and did pass all
very well.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Thank you so much for the gift.
It was heaven sent, especially this
year. I had unexpected expense
with the death of my sister, so
I’m using the only for gifts for my
daughter and grandson and other
family members and friends. Thank
you for remembering us, especially
those of us who served
small rural churches.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Words cannot express how
much this means to us. The
financial help is so crucial to
our being able to meet our
obligations and we are
grateful for it!”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“We are so grateful for
and touched by the UCC
congregations and individuals
who have provided this funding
in recognition and appreciation
of the faithful ministry of so
many ministerial
families like us.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“As a recently retired pastor,
my wife and I are finding it
takes a tremendous amount of
skill and lots of prayer to shift gears
from the full-time working world,
to the world of the retired. Actually,
I realize that Pastors are never
supposed to retire. They just get
re-treaded and go
another 86,000 miles.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Thanks to your generosity, both my
wife and I are closer to paying off debt
to our friendly family dentist, who
recently installed a beautiful crown
in each of our mouths so that we
could keep the “machines” properly
furled for the next 85,000 miles we
each hope to travel. Who knows, these
may be the only crowns we may have
or get, when the Perousia comes!!!”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“As you can see, we are trying
to keep a god sense of humor
about all of this that we are
experiencing in the “new world”.
Believe me, it lightens the load
and makes the journey easier.
Never-the-less, we both are
tremendously grateful to you
for your thoughtfulness.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Your thoughtfulness
makes it difficult to find
the proper words to express
our gratitude. I guess the
most meaningful way is
to simply say,
“thank you.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“The shepherds heard
angels singing and so
do we. As god’s angels,
UCC, blesses us many,
many times. Thanks again”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I want to thank the Pension
Boards for the gift that I received
from the Christmas Fund. I am
grateful for your thoughtful
concern for the needs of retired
pastors like myself. These gifts
of love come as a real blessing,
and my gratitude can never
be sufficiently expressed.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“Please except my sincere
thanks for your very generous
gift. I appreciate very much that
you have thought of me at this
time. Your gift last year, made
me realize that people do care
for me and it helped to make
the year a whole lot easier.
As I am sure this year’s gift
will also.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“It is good to be thought
of, especially by those
whom we do not know.
This demonstrates
that God is with us
working in his people
with kindness and love.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“The 107 year old “Tradition”
of sending a monetary gift to
those how have served the Lord
and His church, has brought
FANTASTIC RESPONSE,
I pray; from ALL that have
received from this Fund, at
this blessed Christmas time
of our Christian year.”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“INDEED, this comes to us
as a means of making the time
of Christmas SO MUCH MORE
JOYFUL. It is with YOUR
KINDNESS that we can now
CELEBRATE and SHARE
the WARMTH of Christmas
in our HOME as well as
with our FAMILY!!”
“God with us”
Matthew 1: 18-25
“I THANK YOU for
making this ALL possible…
and THINKING of US
who have served the Lord
& his church these
many years.”
