General Considerations Banner Policy: Banners (160x600, 728x90, 300X250 & 250X250) may not at any point during the campaign have additional creative that extends beyond the designated banner area unless approved by Oxygen Cable LLC. and specified in the IO. This includes - but is not limited to - rollovers, surveys, non-user-initiated daughter windows and DHTML elements. Approval will be determined on a case-by-case basis. All beyond-the-banner creative requires seven (7) days of lead time to be approved. All ad placements should spawn a new browser window when clicked upon.
Generally, faux-functionality—or misleading users into clicking on an ad—is not permitted. As a general rule, true functionality ads should avoid use of Oxygen color schemes. If the functionality ads do use Oxygen color schemes, however, the ads must include text such as “advertisement” (in the upper bar or top left-hand side of the banner) or “For more information, click here!” (With a cursor embedded into the image to encourage users to click there) and the advertiser’s name (e.g. “from ABC company”). Ads may not have transparent backgrounds and may never blend into the screen content. It is not allowed to use banners with the elements of the Windows operation system interface. Banner elements or inscriptions with erotic content are also not allowed. Banners should be encased in a border and distinct from the content. If borderless, a banner must contain the advertiser’s name to signify that it is an ad creative banner, not content.
Strobing animations: Ads may not have rapid/"strobing" animation of any graphic, copy or background elements. Changes and Cancellations: All creative materials must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the launch of the campaign. If creative is delayed, Oxygen Cable LLC. reserves the right to extend the campaign end date by same number of days creative was delayed.
Rejecting Creative: Oxygen Cable LLC. reserves the right to reject any insertion, graphic, text description, or URL .SWF File Policy: Oxygen Cable LLC. requires that a backup .gif and click through URL be trafficked with all .swf creative's.
Oxygen Cable LLC. will create the HTML which calls the .swf creative. Oxygen Cable LLC. will not be responsible for counting clicks on .swf creative's that are not trafficked to this spec. See the "Directions for Creating .SWF" for details

Non 3rd Party Severed Flash Ad Creation
In order for Oxygen Cable LLC. to properly track clicks for advertisers using .swf files, we do some initial testing. When we receive the .swf files, the first step for us is to check if the files click through. If they do, this indicates that a click through URL has been assigned to the .swf by the creative agency or client. When this happens, Oxygen Cable LLC. is not able to insert the click through URL, and therefore we cannot track or report on the clicks or click through rates.
Any click-through URLs should be assigned to the creative by Oxygen Cable LLC. We will be able to embed our ad server tracking code along with the destination URL. If the advertiser assigns the click through URL to the .swf file, Oxygen Cable LLC. will not be able to report clicks or measure click through rates.
Single Click
Modifying a Flash banner involves two steps. The first step is to modify the flash file itself in order to track click-throughs. The second step is to modify the HTML file which plays the flash file.
To assign a clickTAG for your advertisement: - The Flash File (.fla extension) must first be modified.
-
The clickTAG is the tracking code assigned by the ad serving network to an individual ad. The clickTAG allows the network to register where the ad was displayed when it was clicked on. This click through data is reported to the ad serving servers so advertisers may determine the effectiveness of their campaign. The code below will allow ad serving networks to dynamically assign a clickTAG to their ad.
Flash MX/Flash 6
-
In this example, a getURL action is being assigned to a button that will navigate the browser to [clickTAG]. The getURL(clickTAG) statement appends the variable data passed in via the OBJECT EMBED tag and navigates the browser to that location. It is the tracking code assigned by the ad serving network, which allows them to register a user's click on that advertisement. The expression box must be checked for the clickTAG variable to work properly. See picture below.
-
In order to have a new browser window open when clicking on the banner, choose "_blank" by the window option in the action window. See picture below.
Flash MX 2004/Flash 7
-
In this example, a getURL action is being assigned to a button that will navigate the browser to [clickTAG]. The getURL(clickTAG,"_blank") statement appends the variable data passed in via the OBJECT EMBED tag and navigates the browser to that location. It is the tracking code assigned by the ad serving network, which allows them to register a user's click on that advertisement. The url variable, clickTAG should be inserted without "" for the creative to work properly. See picture below. In order to have a new browser window open when clicking on the banner, enter "_blank" for the window variable. See picture below.

Upload the gif into the OAS creative portion first and then upload the swf file and finally upload the HTML which makes all the calls. To learn more about modifying flash files, please visit the website:
