BRAMBLEWOOD PAC NEWSLETTER
Our 2011 -2012 school year is off to a wonderful start!
We would like to welcome back all the returning families and welcome new families to Bramblewood
Elementary School. We hope you had a fun and relaxing summer and are ready for another exciting
Are you new to the school and wonder what you can do to get involved? Have your children been at
Bramblewood Elementary school for sometime now, but you just didn’t know how to get involved? This
year we are focusing on building on the wonderful parent volunteer group we already have and create a
fun atmosphere for all existing and new parent volunteers.
There are many opportunities to help out. You could join one of our “Teams”, help run a fundraiser, or
help out occasionally with various events throughout the year. If you haven’t already had a chance to sign
up to join one of our teams, please pick up a pink volunteer form from the office or contact Claudia
Mawji at email@example.com and she can tell you about all the opportunities available
and find one (or more) that is just right for you.
Please note, all parents who will be in the school at any time throughout the year during instruction time,
attending field trips, or helping out in the library or classrooms are required to complete the District
Volunteer Forms as well as a Criminal Record Check.
The Volunteer Forms are completed on-line annually while the Criminal Record Check (from the
Coquitlam RCMP/Pt. Moody Police) is valid for five years. The Driver’s Abstract from ICBC (1-800-
950-1498) is required annually. Come to the school office for a letter to take with you to waive the
fee for the Criminal Record Check. Please do this as soon as possible so that you are not disappointed by
not being able to be part of school activities as the year progresses.
To access the volunteer e-forms go to www.sd43.bc.ca/bramblewood and click on the “Parent Eforms”
Stay tuned for upcoming volunteer socials! What a great way to get to know other parents and learn
about volunteer opportunities at our school.
Thank you - Dawn and Claudia

congestion at our school. If you do drive to school, please try to leave a few minutes early and leave
enough time to drop your children off safely in a designated drop off area.
Driving on Bramble Lane continues to be especially problematic, please DO NOT make U-Turns on
