11   TO CONGRATULATE ZAM “BUCK” FREDRICK OF
12   CALHOUN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOR BEING NAMED
13   “MR.  BASKETBALL”      FOR   HIS  OUTSTANDING
14   PERFORMANCE ON THE COURT DURING HIS HIGH
15   SCHOOL BASKETBALL CAREER, AND TO WISH HIM
16   MUCH SUCCESS IN HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

18   Whereas, the House of Representatives is proud to recognize the
19   accomplishments of exceptional young athletes like Zam “Buck”
20   Fredrick of Calhoun County; and
21
22   Whereas, the Calhoun County High School Boys Basketball Team
23   ended its season as Class AA Champions due in part to the brilliant
24   performance of team leader Zam “Buck” Fredrick; and
25
26   Whereas, at the Colonial Center in Columbia on Saturday, March
27   6, 2004, Buck Fredrick and the Calhoun County basketball team
28   defeated Lee Central High School 72-51, in an exciting
29   championship game; and
30
31   Whereas, as the Saints’ leading scorer, Buck Fredrick averages
32   close to 35 points a game and has scored nearly 3, 500 points in his
33   high school career to set a new state record for male high school
34   basketball players; and
35
36   Whereas, in the final game of his high school basketball career
37   Buck boasted 29 points with five assists, five steals, and four
38   rebounds; and
39
40   Whereas, for his immense success Buck Fredrick was honored
41   with the 2004 AA “Mr. Basketball” title; and

 1   Whereas, Buck Fredrick has also been named SCBCA All-State
 2   for the past three years, was named to the All-State Team for the
 3   past four years, and has been named as the region 4-AA Player of
 4   the Year for the past four years; and
 5
 6   Whereas, with a future full of promise, Buck Fredrick received a
 7   full basketball scholarship to attend Georgia Tech in the fall; and
 8
 9   Whereas, it is with great pleasure that the members of the House of
10   Representatives commend Zam “Buck” Fredrick for his
11   tremendous accomplishments and wish him the best of luck as he
12   embarks on a new basketball career at Georgia Tech. Now,
13   therefore,

15   Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
16
17   That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of
18   South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Zam “Buck”
19   Fredrick of Calhoun County High School for being named “Mr.
20   Basketball” for his outstanding performance on the court during
21   his high school basketball career and wish him much success in his
22   future endeavors.

24   Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
25   Zam “Buck” Fredrick of Calhoun County High School.
