Congratulations to the JV Volleyball Team who made it to the Finals of the Sequoyah
Classic Tournament Silver Division this weekend by beating Sprayberry, Kell, and
Milton! Way to go girls!!!!!
The girls play at Milton and Lambert this Monday and Tuesday. Their 1st home match is
this Wednesday at 5:00 pm.


The AHS Drama program, Alpha Productions, will have their first organizational
meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 21st at 3:45 pm. in room 1110. We will
discuss how students can get involved with our theatre program and details will be
shared about our fall production, Almost, Maine. Any questions, please contact Mr.

Have you ever seen the hit television show “The Sing Off”?
We are looking to add a contemporary a cappella ensemble at Alpharetta High School,
as well as reinstate the Alpha Males. No singing or chorus experience required!
Auditions for both groups will be held on Tuesday, September 4th after-school. The sign-
up sheet is located on the Chorus room door, room 7235. If you have any questions,
please come by Ms. Austin’s office or send her an e-mail.”

Attention RICH Raiders, class representative elections are quickly approaching. If
planning homecoming, prom, ABDC, and many other AHS events sounds like something
you would be interested in… class representative is for you!!! August 22nd thru August
28th is campaign week for all students who would like to run for their class
representative. Please pick up an election packet in Ms. Decaminada’s room 4327 or Ms.
Veillon’s room 2210 for more information.

for lunch/dinner and when you mention AHS Football, BWW will donate 10% of all
pre-taxed food sales to the football program! "Together, we can make a positive

Around one Billion people live without clean water!! If you want to make a
difference… come to the Global Citizens meeting this Wednesday (8/22) after school
in Madame Rollot’s room 4215.

Attention boy basketball players: There will be a sign up meeting for ALL young men
interested in playing basketball this season. This meeting is for everyone to officially
sign up and get information. Even if you are playing a fall sport you still should attend
the meeting. The meetings for 11th and 12th graders will be Thursday August 23rd at
8:00 before school and again at 3:35 as soon as school is out. The meetings for 9th and
10th graders will be Friday August 24th at 8:00 before school and again at 3:35 as soon
as school is out. All meetings will take place in room 3210. So there is no confusion
they only have to attend one of the meetings.

Raiders for the Cure will meet Tuesday, August 21st at 7:50AM in room 2311. New
members are welcomed!

Attention Freshmen: There is still time to sign up for freshmen football. If you are
interested, please see Coach Smith or Coach Chance in the P.E. office in the gym. Come
out and be a part of something special here at AHS. Go Raiders!

Attention Wrestlers: There will be an important meeting for all individuals interested in
wrestling. We will meet in the wrestling area in the gym immediately after school on
Tuesday, August 21st. You will need to pick up important forms required for pre-season
work-outs. All individuals not participating in a fall sport need to attend. Please see
Coach Norris in room #5217 if you have any questions.
