The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH), Division of Public Health, is seeking a qualified candidate
for the position of Oracle PL/SQL Developer based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Reporting to the Director, Application Support and Development the selected applicant’s responsibilities
include working with the defined project team to design develop and test software enhancements in support of
the Georgia Maternal Child Health (MCH) Program. Using Oracle PL/SQL this team member will be focused
on developing, maintaining and improving SendSS New Born project. Day to day activities will include @ 60%
coding, 20% design/analysis, 20% help desk support. Candidate will be able to work with a diverse project
team, and work in a highly visible and changing project environment with aggressive timelines.
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering, business
administration or related field from an accredited college or university.
3+ years Oracle Database versions 8i, 9i, and 10g.
3+ years Oracle PL/SQL programming skills including Oracle Web toolkit, HTP, HTF and OWA packages
3+ years Experience with Quest Software SQL Navigator or similar development tools.
3+ years Experience creating web forms using Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher.
3+ years Full project lifecycle experience in implementing web based systems
Proficient Proficient in troubleshooting, self-motivated and driven professional, able to work with minimal
supervision, and able to exercise good judgment to keep critical systems operational
Strong Experience in design models, diagrams, layouts, definitions and/or specifications to show
process, systems design, and/or integration complexity in a clear and precise manner
Proficient Proficient in analyzing information thoroughly and effectively to determine the impact of technical
platform changes, changing customer requirements and/or software
3+ years Work experience with a relational database system such as Oracle 9i or 10g and SQL Server
1) Understanding table structure and relationship
2) Use of SQL for querying database to filter for desired dataset.
3) Knowledge of HL7 and other Health Care Data Standards
4) Knowledge of other 3G languages a plus
