• Clarify current process using the
  process flow diagram
• Bring faculty on board with the
  assessment process through training
  and presentations
• Improve the culture of assessment to
  enhance:
  – Curriculum and instruction
  – Student learning
• Document evidence of student learning
         Recommendations
• To clarify the assessment process through
  the following activities:
  – Sharing of operational definitions with faculty
  – Offering more professional development on
    assessment
  – Further training of faculty liaisons and others on
    using the TracDat tool

• To map College curricula to general
  education by training the assessment team
  and selected Chairs who will attend a
  curriculum mapping workshop offered by an
  outside consultant
         Recommendations
• To train the remainder of the faculty on how
  to do curriculum mapping

• To further the culture of assessment by
  hosting the annual state-wide Community
  College Assessment Fair and invite MCC
  faculty to attend

• To gather, analyze, and share with faculty the
  results of the '05-'06 general education
  assessment and to promote transformations
  for the improvement of student learning
       Recommendations
• To clarify or codify appropriate
  procedures to ensure all academic
  departments are participating in the
  institutional assessment process

• To continue work with the Curriculum
  and Academic Policy Council to review
  (and possibly revise) the current
