Hello, I am the new internship coordinator for the Office of Congressman Raul Grijalva. Our office is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2012 internship program. This opportunity is open to all undergraduate students but give preference to juniors and seniors. The internship is a wonderful way for students to get involved in the community and learn firsthand how the federal government works. Interns are a vital part of our office and we look for ambitious students to help us. Although this is an unpaid internship, we will work with advisors in order for students to obtain college credit. We welcome any major. Internship benefits include: Close interaction with both the Congressman and staff, opportunity to attend community events, college level credit (if applicable). Responsibilities include: assisting with constituent casework (intake), assist district staff with special projects, responding to requests for information and writing constituent correspondence. Internship period: August 20th, 2012 to December 14th, 2012 Location: 738 N. 5th avenue Ste 110 Tucson, AZ 85705 Application deadline: July 20, 2012 Contact: Alex Martinez Alexandra.martinez@mail.house.gov or at 520-622-6788
