          Beginning of Life

►When   does life begin?
  Abortion advocates answer: birth
  Bible teaching: conception
  Life in the womb (Psalm 139:13, 15, 16;
   Jeremiah 1:5)
  John the Baptist (Luke 1:41)
           Beginning of Life

►Unborn   child is living
  Rights under the law (Exodus 21:22-25)
  If not at conception, when?
  For those who oppose abortion it is only
   an academic question
  For those who favor abortion is has dire
   consequences
                 Death

►Always   a fascination with death
  Some are having their bodies frozen
  Medical community attempts
  One tried to determine the weight of a
   soul
                Death

►When   does death take place?
  Spirit leaves the body (James 2:26)
  Cannot be measured scientifically
  Main point: Be ready (Hebrews 9:27)
                  Saved

►Most   believe it is at point of faith
  “Accept Jesus as personal savior”
  Demons believed (James 2:19)
  Saving faith involves obedience
   (Hebrews 11; James 2:19-26)
                  Saved

►Bible   answer
  Faith, repentance, and confession
   (Acts 2:36-38; 8:37)
  Paul believed but was in sin
   (Acts 22:16)
  Saved at point of baptism
   (Romans 6:3, 4; Galatians 3:26, 27)
       Beginning of The Kingdom

►Lot   of speculation
  Good for book sellers and movie makers
  Most believe it is future
  Any great upheaval sparks interest
       Beginning of The Kingdom

►Old   Testament timetable
  Nebuchadnezzar’s dream (Daniel 2)
  Days of fourth empire (vv. 31-45)
  Roman kings (Matthew 3:2; 16:18, 19)
  Came with power (Mark 9:1)
  Paul was in it (Colossians 1:13)
  John was in it (Revelation 1:9)
