									Kathy Davis
Kathy holds a vocal performance degree from Brigham Young University-- Idaho, and is a private voice
student of 10 years from various brilliant maestros. 2010 endeavors have included performing as Pitti-
Sing in The Mikado, music directing Cinderella for CYT North, and performing in the new musical Rhythm
City. In March, she also won the Missouri NATSAA competition. She currently attends the Conservatory
at UMKC in pursuit of a Performer’s Certificate, and will next appear in UMKC’s main stage opera
production Dialogues of the Carmelites (Mere Marie).

Kathy enjoys teaching all ages of students, and in all styles. She believes and has experienced that one-
on-one training with a skilled and careful teacher can open up worlds of joy in singing.

Students who seek to strengthen their solo singing can look forward to specialized attention to their
vocal needs, including but not limited to:

 Breath control and strength throughout the range
 A free, focused, and healthy vocal tone
     Strengthened musicianship
     Performance development
     Solid audition prep

Students will have available to them the option to record their lessons to help with practice, and be able
to participate in yearly recitals. Kathy asks that students come ready to commit to steady practice, and
willing to take the sometimes challenging journey of finding and magnifying your voice. Her goal is to
help students gain trust in themselves and to learn to use their powerful gift for good.
