Area and Equipment:
Basketball courts. There are four half courts in each gym. Most classes are
large; play half court games.
One basketball for each game.
Students are to make sure their shoelaces are tied tightly.
Students will understand that limiting fouls will lessen the chance for injuries.
Arm strength is developed when a student passes and shoots a basketball.
Running on the basketball court will develop leg strength.
Running will also strengthen the cardiovascular system.
Rebounding helps increase leg strength for jumping.
