									Linking Compassionate
     Communities
Rucha Chitnis
Director of Programs & Development

Rucha joined OWCF in May 2005 as its first
employee. She is passionate about developing
OWCF’s Champion Model that creates a structure
through which individuals in the US can build
respectful partnerships with grassroots groups
around the world. Rucha is born and raised all over
India. Back home, she supported education
programs for slum children in Mumbai and
environmental awareness initiatives in Pune. She
has a masters degree in Journalism from Ohio
University, and serves on the board of
Grantmakers Without Borders, a philanthropic
network dedicated to increasing funding for
international social justice and environmental
sustainability initiatives. Rucha would like to believe
that she is a respectable birder and a desultory
poet.

networks resources directly to

access to resources to build a
sustainable future for children
and their care givers.
