                             Awarded: FALL SEMESTER

The purpose of the Cornelia “NeNe” Williams Business Office Technology Student
Scholarship Fund is to reward academic excellence and encourage students to pursue
technical education in the Business Office Technology Program.

A total of four (4) $300 scholarships will be awarded during the Fall Semester.

The scholarship funds will be disbursed for tuition, books, and program specific
supplies. The student will have access to a $300 line of credit placed on his/her
account.

The Atlanta Technical College Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization, administers the
Cornelia “NeNe” Williams Business Office Technology Student Scholarship Fund.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time (12 semester hours or more) student in the
   Business Office Technology Program for at least one semester prior to making
   application for the scholarship. If awarded, the student must enroll for a minimum of 12
   credit hours for the following semesters.

2. Applicants must possess a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher (based on a four-
   point system).

3. Applicants must provide a copy of their Banner Web Transcript and grade report from
   the most current semester/s documenting full-time enrollment (summer and fall
   semesters of enrollment), and documentation of 3.0 GPA or higher.

4. Applicants must submit a typed, double-spaced, one to two-page essay about why they
   should receive the scholarship and how it will aid them in completing their technical
   education. The applicants may include information about why they have chosen the
   Business Office Technology program as their career goal. Other things may be included
   such as community involvement or background about their personal circumstances that
   are relevant to the selection process.

5. Applicants must submit two (2) letters of recommendation from an outside source on
   their behalf. No letters of recommendations will be accepted from relatives or employees
   of Atlanta Technical College. Each letter MUST be submitted in a sealed envelope along
   with the student’s application form.

6. A recommendation form (included in application packet) must be completed by an
   instructor in the applicant’s program of study. The instructor should be familiar with the
   applicant’s academic achievement and work ethics. The form MUST be submitted in a
   sealed envelope along with the student’s application form.

AMOUNT AND DURATION OF SCHOLARSHIP

1. The amount of each scholarship awarded shall be $300.

2. The scholarships are for tuition, books and program specific supplies. The student will
   have access to a $300 line of credit.

3. A student may reapply once for this scholarship as long as the student maintains a 3.0
   GPA and is enrolled full-time in the Business Office Technology Program.

4. A student must be enrolled at the college at least one (1) semester prior to receiving the
   scholarship.

5. Scholarships are not transferable between programs; if a student changes his/her
   program major from Business Office Technology to another, the student forfeits his/her
   scholarship. The student may only apply for scholarship funds if enrolled full time in the
   Business Office Technology Program.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The availability of scholarship funding will be advertised during the summer semester.
Awards will be made during the Fall Semester.

1. Students will be informed via the College’s website, Student’s MYATC Account, and
   student’s College e-mail account.

2. Completed applications must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by 3:00
   p.m. on August 15, 2012.

3. Incomplete application packets will not be eligible for consideration. All applicants will
   be contacted and informed of the status of their application via letter.

4. The scholarship is for tuition, books, and program specific supplies. The students will
   have access to a $300 line of credit placed on their account within three weeks after
   notification.

via letter from the Office of Institutional Development within three weeks.
