EEA Learning Academy Would Like to Welcome the Graduating Class of 2013!
We are so glad you have chosen to participate in our school! We are looking forward to getting to know the
students we have not met and finding out more about the students we have worked with this summer!

You will find much of the information you need in the regular newsletter mailed with this note, but there is
information special to the freshman class that is important to know.

The freshman at EEA are scheduled from 9-3 p.m. each day unless they complete 360 minutes of NovaNet
or scheduled activities, classes or work. There are many opportunities that are offered and all of them are
recorded in “minutes” and “hours” at EEA. Everything a child does is recorded and added to complete their

Examples of a day in the life of a freshman:

   1. Fred comes to school at 8:00 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m. and will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m.
   2. Tara comes to school and has completed 360 minutes of Nova Net from home the night before
school. She comes to check in with the teachers and is free to go whenever she has parent permission
      to go.
   3. Tommy completes 100 minutes of work the night before and will be done when he has completed
260 minutes and has parent permission to go.
   4. Samantha completes 3 credits earlier than the mid-January end of the semester and does not need to
attend school until the second semester.
   5. Julian completes 6 credits before the end of the school year and will be done until the following
      school year.
   6. Franny does not complete her work consistently due to a lack of effort, or behavior issues. Franny is
scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day until she is caught up and consistently doing her
   7. There are virtually unlimited ways to schedule the freshmen…all depend on their willingness to work
and participation in academics at EEA

*All students are welcome to attend every day that school is in session for the entire day Many students
choose to stay in school, even when they are done to work ahead.
